About RSCC

Uniting life sciences and precision engineering
to automate and optimize biological experiments.

RSCC (RIKEN–Seiko Collaboration Center) is a research hub established through collaboration among RIKEN, Seiko Group Corporation and Seiko Future Creation Inc.

We integrate life science research with precision manufacturing, factory automation, software and AI technologies rooted in precision engineering. Experiments that have relied on human experience and manual work evolve into systems in which instruments perform precise measurements and control, feeding the resulting data into the next experiment.

By accelerating the cycle of experiments and data, we improve reproducibility and efficiency and create a new foundation for automated and autonomous life science research.

Research

RSCC develops technologies that combine precision measurement and control with data analysis to automate synthesis, fractionation and evaluation in biological experiments. We also connect these technologies into a unified experimental workflow, building a platform that continuously links planning, execution, analysis and selection of the next experimental conditions. Our goal is to repeat experimental cycles faster and more efficiently while maintaining high reproducibility.
